What we'll do all week

• The rules of fantasy worlds — dragons, quests and maps: the conventions of fantasy fiction, and how authors bend them.
• Words worth hoarding — vocabulary building that sticks, because every new word goes straight into the story.
• Real writing, every day — short, energetic writing practice with feedback the same day.
• The grammar behind the magic — nouns, verbs, adjectives, subjects and objects, learned by using them on purpose.

How it works

Sessions run live on Zoom — the link is emailed to you before the course starts. All your child needs is an iPad or laptop with a camera, a pencil, and the course booklet (the PDF is free and emailed to you; a printed copy can be posted for $10 if you book early enough).

Each afternoon you'll get a short email of what the class did, with notes about your child — and you can upload a photo of their written work to have it marked overnight.
